Bearings are an important component of steam turbines. The working conditions of turbine bearings are high-speed rotation and heavy load, and high reliability is required. Generally, sliding bearings are used for steam turbines in fossil-fuel power station. In addition to thrust bearings, there are cylindrical bearing, elliptical bearing, tilting bearing, and three oil gap bearing. Due to the high load that each bearing bears and the high rotational speed of the shaft, the bearings of the steam turbine use liquid friction as the theoretical basis for bearing or sliding bearings. With the help of lubricating oil under certain pressure, an oil film is formed between the oil force and the bearing, establishing liquid friction and ensuring the safe and stable operation of the steam turbine.
