The ST series electric actuators are divided into three types according to their adjustment methods:

1. Proportional adjustment type one actuator receives analog signals of 4-20mA or O-10mA determined by computer, regulator and other units. The output shaft angle (or displacement) of the actuator is proportional to the signal and automatically completes the adjustment task.

Proportional adjustment electric actuators are divided into two types in terms of structure and installation methods:

a. Integral proportional adjustment type, that is, the actuator and position locator GAMX-D are installed as a whole, and the whole machine is installed and used on site.

b. Split proportional adjustment type, the actuator is also composed of an actuator and a position locator, but the actuator and the position locator GAMX are installed separately, and the position locator is installed indoors or elsewhere.

Attention: Integral and discrete external wiring are different.

2. Remote control type, also known as integral type, receives pulse signals and relay signals to control the output shaft of the actuator at any position.

3. Switch type one, also known as two position type, receives switch signals, but the output shaft of the actuator can only be controlled in two extreme positions: on and off.

The split type proportional adjustment electric actuator is actually a remote control type paired with a separately installed position locator GAMX. When selecting, users only need to pay attention to whether the power supply, voltage, installation method, output torque, stroke, and signal meet your requirements.

Common faults and solutions of electric devices

1. The electric device operates normally, but there is no valve position feedback. The 22/23 circuit has only about 1-3mA. Reset, it doesn't work. Replace the servo and return board to disconnect the feedback loop. If the feedback signal is normal, it is an external cable fault. Replace the cable.

2. Local operation is normal, remote control cannot be turned off. When remotely controlling the opening direction, the actuator remains fully open regardless of the signal size. The reset limit does not work, and the servo (+position return board) should be replaced.

3. Neither remote control nor on-site operation, measuring motor winding, overheating protection. Electromagnetic feedback open circuit, motor burnt out.
