GD401 single component dealcoholized room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber is a rare professional protective sealing material in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in power plants. With the non corrosive properties of the alcohol removal formula, wide temperature range adaptability from -60 ℃ to 200 ℃, excellent electrical insulation performance, and storage stability for up to 12 months, this product can be widely used in insulation coating, potting protection, sealing and bonding of various electrical equipment, providing solid guarantee for long-term reliable operation of the equipment.

 

Usage and precautions

 

（1） Usage process

 

Surface cleaning: Clean the surface of the object to be glued, remove rust, dust, oil stains and other residues, and ensure that the surface is dry.

 

Glue application: Cut off the tip of the hose and squeeze out the glue solution onto the cleaned surface. If the hose is not used up at once, do not cut open the head of the hose. It is recommended to squeeze it out from the tail and then roll up the tail for sealing and storage after use to prevent the rubber material inside the hose from curing prematurely due to contact with moisture.

 

Curing: Place the adhesive component in the air, and the adhesive material gradually vulcanizes from the surface to the inside after coming into contact with moisture in the air. The vulcanization time is closely related to the ambient temperature and humidity: under typical conditions of 20 ℃~30 ℃ and relative humidity of 60%~80%, the surface layer can lose its stickiness (surface dryness) within 15~60 minutes, and a 2mm thick adhesive layer needs about 1-2 hours to fully cure.

 

Deep vulcanization: For deep potting with a thickness exceeding 6mm, an appropriate amount of magnesium oxide can be added for deep vulcanization treatment, or a layered potting method can be used, adding several millimeters of thickness each time, and adding the next layer after one layer is vulcanized.

 

（2） Precautions

 

The temperature and humidity of the environment have a significant impact on the curing speed. An increase in relative humidity or temperature can shorten the vulcanization time, while the opposite can prolong it. When working under cold or dry conditions, the curing waiting time should be appropriately extended.

 

GD401 should be transported as non dangerous goods and stored in a sealed, cool, and dry place, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature environments.

 

If the product is found to have expired or exhibits obvious curing, delamination, or other abnormal phenomena during use, it should not be continued to be used.

 

Good ventilation should be maintained during operation to avoid prolonged inhalation of volatile gases. If it accidentally comes into contact with the skin, it should be cleaned in a timely manner; If accidentally in contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention.

 

It is recommended to avoid moisture or external impact within 24 hours after gluing to ensure that the sealing effect meets the design performance.
